CALL FOR STORYTELLERS

We invite you to submit your story for Stories We Carry, a community storytelling night, centered on the theme: Familia. This event is a fundraiser in support of ABC’s Fuerza Fund, an initiative created to strengthen Latina/o communities and address urgent needs and long-standing inequities.

Grounded in a commitment to confront chronic underinvestment, the Fuerza Fund has been activated during times of crisis—from the 2025 wildfires to the unlawful, violent immigration raids—providing direct relief and investing in community-based organizations that sustain our communities.

In a time when so many of our histories are overlooked, erased, or rewritten, our stories matter more than ever. Stories We Carry is a space to celebrate the memories we hold close—diverse stories of family, migration, community, and everyday life.

We are seeking true, personal stories that have stayed with you—moments that shaped who you are, lessons passed down through generations, or experiences that connect you to your family or community. Stories should have a clear beginning, middle, and end, and can be joyful, funny, surprising, heartbreaking, and anything in between.

Selected storytellers will perform live on Saturday, April 25th at The Los Angeles Theater Center.
