Latino Theater Company at The Los Angeles Theatre Center (The LATC) is seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals with strong communication and customer service skills to join our Front of House team.

Candidates must have flexible availability and be available to work at least three days per week, Wednesday through Sunday, during our performance season. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and select weekday student matinees. Scheduling will vary based on performances, special events, and organizational needs.

SUMMARY

As the team with the highest level of direct interaction with our patrons, Front of House plays a critical role in the success of performances and events at The LATC.

Front of House Associates support the full patron experience—from arrival and seating through the conclusion of a performance or event. As an essential part of our organization, Front of House Associates help ensure that every patron receives a welcoming, safe, inclusive, accessible, and memorable experience at The LATC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome patrons as they arrive; collect and verify tickets; assist patrons in locating their seats; and distribute programs.

• Answer patron questions regarding performances, events, the theater, and the organization.

• Assist patrons who require accommodations, including guests with mobility needs.

• Resolve seating issues and respond professionally to patron questions, concerns, and complaints.

• Monitor audiences during performances and address issues involving audience behavior, safety, and comfort as they arise; enforce house rules when necessary.

• Prepare and maintain theater and lobby areas before and after performances and events, including arranging and moving lobby furniture.

• Attend Front of House meetings and briefings prior to each performance or event.

• Sell merchandise at select performances and events.

• Assist with the setup, service preparation, and breakdown of catering and hospitality areas for performances, receptions, and special events, as needed.

• Participate in emergency procedures, including theater evacuations, when necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with patrons, artists, staff, and members of the public.

• Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and composure in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

• Must be available to work a minimum of three days per week, Wednesday through Sunday, during the performance season.**

• Evening and weekend availability is required, with occasional weekday availability for student matinees and special events.

• General knowledge of or interest in theater and the performing arts is highly preferred.

Employees are regularly required to use their hands to handle objects, tools, or equipment and to reach with their hands and arms. Employees may occasionally be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 30 pounds.

The noise level of the work environment may range from quiet to loud depending on the performance, event, or activity taking place.

Latino Theater Co. at The Los Angeles Theatre Center is currently seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals with highly effective communication skills to join our bar staff team. All applicants must be able to work a flexible "shift" schedule including nights, weekends, and some weekday special events. Must be 21 years of age or older.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete a bar service course and become certified in safe-serving techniques for alcohol service.

• Take beverage orders from patrons

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to theater patrons

• Accepts patron payments and process credit or debit card transactions

• Maintain a clean and organized bar space

• Take inventory of products at the start and end of each shift

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to exercise tact and remain composed under pressure

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• Evening and weekend availability required

• Previous bartending, bar service, or hospitality experience preferred

SUMMARY

We seek submissions for technicians for our upcoming season and events for all production departments. These departments include:

• Carpentry

• Electrics (including programmers)

• Sound (including programmers)

• Operators

This posting seeks to collect names to add to our overhire call list, which includes positions for load ins, load outs, and run of show positions as needed. All interested parties are welcome to apply!

This position reports to the Assistant Technical Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Be a part of the load in and outs for The Los Angeles Theatre Center productions

• Run backstage tracks and/or consoles for the run of show

• Liaise with Production Department staff as part of the production process

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Basic knowledge of standard theatrical production practices preferred, but not required.
