Silhouettes Of Scarlet is a genre-bending hybrid of live music, cinema, and theater that explores grief, masculinity, and healing through Black and Brown stories. Each performance takes on a unique format, illuminating James’ journey through the aftermath of an abusive relationship and the sudden loss of his father. In this upcoming iteration, James takes the stage as a guest on the acclaimed talk show Culture Elevated with Eric Seymour. There, he reflects on the challenges of creating Silhouettes of Scarlet: A Hip Hop Musical in the midst of profound loss, and his attempt to escape the weight of grief by relocating to Zurich, Switzerland. What he soon discovers, however, is that grief cannot be outrun. It follows, transforms, and ultimately demands to be faced.
